lunch
lən(t)SH
noun
The full meal served by the catering department in the middle of the shoot day. Lunch is served no more than six hours after the general crew call and is referred to as “lunch” regardless of the time of day (or night). The duration of lunch is usually 30 minutes from the time the last eligible crew member is served their meal.
Smaller crews or productions without a catering department might opt for a walkaway lunch, giving each crew member a meal allowance and 60 minutes to find their own food.
